God's Princesses

“Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” (NLT 1 Peter 3:3-4)
This weekend I got to participate in something truly special.  Branson's Young Women's Retreat.   My lovely friend Kim Braden along with her amazing sisters, cousins and friends have been hosting this lovely weekend every year for the past 15 years,  for the young women in our community. I was asked to chaperon and I couldn't have been more honored.  My precious Madison will attend next year as the ages range from about 12-18.  This years theme was "God's Princess".  In God's eyes, all his daughters are princesses...
These godly women set these young ladies hearts on fire with Gods Word, their own heartfelt stories, and testimonies. They swim, play games, giggle, paint nails and learn more about themselves and other young ladies.  Hopefully they learn to love themselves a little more.
These women take God's precious daughters under their wings and let them know that it is safe to share, to reveal inner thoughts and talk about things that may be difficult to discuss.  It is a time for lifting each other up in prayer and love.
It is also about letting go the baggage and thoughts that defeat us and hurt us.  We had glow sticks inside of balloons and released them into the night air along with our worries, and our fears.
Talk about being nervous.  I am way more shy then people realize.  In a prayer Friday night it was spoken to step out of your comfort zone, so I did.  Even the chaperone's were coronated along with these lovely young women.  We prayed over each girl, tears, smiles and love filled the room.
Our precious 3. My friend Babette and I had three girls to share time with this weekend.  These three lovelies stole my me heart. They are sweet, smart, obedient and have such a love for the Lord. It was an honor to spend time with them this weekend.
Babette crowned each girl as I prayed over them and it was so lovely to watch her coronate her own precious daughter Autumn.  What a tender moment.
May you delight in the Lord today as He loves you and thinks of you as His precious Princess. You are His and He will comfort you and care for you always.  Have the most special of Monday's lovelies!!!
