1 Timothy 4:4-5 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with Thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer..
I am so Thankful!! Thankful for the love of my family, that my 10 year old daughter still loves to cuddle with me and that my 13 year old son tells me he loves me whether we are in front of strangers or his friends. I am thankful that my 6th grader, though he acts tough, has the most tender heart. I am thankful that after 14 years of marriage that my husband and I are very much in love.
I have been reflecting on the meaning of Thanksgiving. I have to admit that I am most thankful that my husband is coming home this week. After a very long year of working in California, he is coming home and we could not be happier. After much prayer we have decided not to move to California but to stay in Branson. Will you please Pray for God's guidance and wisdom for my husband to find employment here.
I am giving thanks for God's grace and mercy, for my husband's hand in mine, my precious healthy, children's laughter, my 3 amazing sisters whom I adore. My husband's family (which I have adopted as my own) and their loving support, my lovely friends, my job, my students, for our wonderful little pets, for our Freedom. There are so many little things that I also am thankful for....a warm mocha on a chilly day, yummy breakfasts with my family, flowers, warm weather, the smell of the air after a rainstorm and this blog.
I am also giving thanks for the fact that I am able to give.. not so much money or things...but Love and Time. God wants us to use our talents to help others. Let us think about that this season...The giving in Thanksgiving.
